Your Role

As a purchasing assistant, you will spend half of your time on administrative tasks and half on practical parts of the purchasing process. You provide our buyers with invaluable support in their daily work and contribute to achieving our goal of the highest quality at the best price in the industry. You will have ongoing contact with colleagues in your team, in other departments, in Germany, and with suppliers. You will be part of the food team. Your main tasks include:

  • Preparing presentations.
  • Evaluating and analyzing data.
  • Creating, updating, and checking prices in reporting tools. Responsible for the weekly preparation of reports related to prices, both for brand and private label.
  • Preparing and participating in assortment analyses, e.g., product group comparisons where you monthly visit competitors and purchase goods in the relevant product group. You will also follow competitors' advertising.
  • Updating the number of products that our competitors have in their stores.
  • Assisting with various tasks within the functional area, e.g., at the request of buyers, purchasing goods for quality control and preparing and participating in tastings.
  • Helping buyers with test packaging, preparation, and sending it to the headquarters in Germany.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has a completed high school education and in addition has:

  • A structured, solution-oriented, and meticulous working style, with the ability to quickly switch between different tasks.
  • Ease in working together with others, but also enjoys working independently.
  • Good communication skills and very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with the Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license is required as the job involves tasks such as purchasing goods.
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage.
